  • Bundle Wood: .75 CU. FT. Bundles. For convenience store sales we supply and maintain the rack, which can be built to accommodate a varying number of bundles. Standard rack is 6′ wide by 4′ high and will hold approximately 30 bundles. Campground sales are generally delivered by the truck and trailer load or can be picked up. A rack system can also be provided for campground sales.
  • Stack and Store: We understand that you may not have the room to store the amount of wood you need so, we are offering a “Stack and Store” service. For a minimal fee per face cord, we will store your wood on our property. Upon receipt of your 50% down payment we will cut the requested amount and store it for up to one year or until you call us for delivery.
  • Stacking: Stacking is available for an extra charge.
  • Kindling Box: 12″w x 16″ l x 8″ d, box of dry hardwood kindling. (may include a minimal amount of dry bark) Includes 2 fire-starter squares. A great way to build a quick, hot fire the natural way.
  • Bottom of the Pile Wood: Ask about our discounts on the “ugly” wood off the bottom of the pile. Certain times of the year we offer discounts on our not so premium leftovers. This is perfectly good hardwood, just a little unsightly, dirty and not at all what we would deliver. Makes great pole barn or outdoor burner, maybe bonfire wood.

Our hours vary slightly with each season. We can typically be reached between 7AM – 9PM daily. Please call us at 989-573-4732 to discuss your specific needs.

We deliver wood all year round.

Our recommendation, especially for those of you burning 3 or more face cord per winter is to buy early! When you start burning wood for the season, order for the next season. We understand that you may not have the room to store the amount of wood we are suggesting so, we are offering a “Stack and Store” service for you.

Think of this as an investment in two ways, the dryer wood, the more heat your receive from it and who knows what the cost of all fuels will be 6 months from now.

A cord of firewood measures 4 feet high by 4 feet wide by 8 feet long, totaling 128 cubic feet of wood. It’s the standard unit of measurement for bulk firewood and is ideal for significant heating needs.

Our firewood is sold by the FACE cord, which is measure 4′ high X 8′ long when stacked. A FULL (or FEDERAL) cord is measured 4′ high X 8′ long X 4′ deep (48″). For ease of measurement we cut our pieces at 16″ standard lengths…Thus we cut the 4′ deep or 48″ deep portion of the full cord in thirds 16 + 16 + 16 = 48″ or 4′. Therefore, three of our FACE cords will equal one FULL cord. If you were to receive firewood in 12″ pieces there could be 4 face cord to a full cord, or 24″ pieces would only contain 2 face cord. Also, the size of the stack will be affected by the length of the pieces, i.e. 24″ pieces stacked 4′ high X 8′ long would actually equal 1 + 1/2 face cords of our wood. The reason being, a 24″ piece of wood actually contains another 1/2 piece or (8″ extra). Please keep this in mind when ordering custom cut lengths.

One theory on the origin of the term FACE cord is thought, it was the outer most stack of a full cord or the one FACING out. Whatever the origin, it is a term that has taken hold in the mid-Michigan area. In other parts of the country wood is sold by the full cord and the 1/4 cord, 1/3 cord, 1/2 cord, etc. I hope this little explanation helps clear up any confusion and enhances your knowledge of firewood measurements, thus making your buying experience more comfortable. If you have further questions regarding the measurement of firewood please contact us.

We offer a range of firewood types, including seasoned oak, which is known for its dense, long-burning qualities. We also provide other locally sourced wood options, depending on availability and seasonal conditions.

  • Seasoned firewood has been dried for at least six months to a year, resulting in lower moisture content. Properly seasoned wood is lighter, cracks on the ends, and burns more efficiently with less smoke. We ensure our firewood is seasoned and ready to burn.

  • Yes, we offer delivery services for our firewood. We’ll bring your order directly to your location, saving you the effort of transportation and handling.

  • Store firewood in a dry, well-ventilated area, off the ground to prevent moisture absorption. Keeping it covered and exposed to air helps maintain its quality and readiness for burning.

Ensure your fireplace or stove is properly maintained and cleaned regularly to prevent creosote buildup. Use seasoned firewood for the best performance and safety.
